Good food, long walks, books, fun conversations and some interesting TV shows, is all you need to enjoy your day, well that’s the truth at least for me. People who know me for a while can confirm that my love for food cannot be compared to anything else. With the food that Toronto has to offer, one can totally get lost, however, one has to start somewhere. Hence, when my friends invited me to a brunch at Chambers, Steakhouse and Supperclub, I didn’t think twice.
We arrived at Chambers at about quarter past 1 and the ambience had already been set with a number of tables occupied. A suggestion would be to book your table before you come in to avoid any wait. The restaurant has a classy chic feel to it and offers live music as a part of the brunch experience.
The hosts and hostesses are friendly and the service it top notch. A number of regulars drop by at the restaurant and this is visible from the interactions between the guests and the hosts. We were given a warm welcome at our arrival and seated at our table without any delays.
As the menu arrived, it was a difficult pick with so many good options to choose from. The one that had my attention from the start was Jackfruit Eggs Benedict. Being a very unique offering, and something I had not tried before, I decided to give it a try.
The food came out after a decent wait time. The Jackfruit Eggs Benedict was served with two hash browns. As I dug into the food, I was impressed by the flavours that my mouth experienced. The balance between the mildness of eggs and the sweetness of jackfruit was what elevated the dish. There was no empowering of flavour but at the same time the dish didn’t feel bland. The hash browns were crispy and not too oily. Overall, a dish that I would love to have again and again.

While we ate, we experienced entertainment in the form of live music. The talented performers are a delight to watch. From the Piano, Saxaphone and beautiful vocals, the experience is nearly perfect for a laid back afternoon brunch.
I was so excited about the food and the entire experience that I didn’t take many photos. However, I have shared what I have with me.
My overall verdict of Chambers is that, it is a place totally worth visiting, whether for Brunch or dinner. It is a steakhouse, it is a supperclub and a restaurant for great brunch. It might be a well kept secret due to its location, and I think this secret needs to be shared with everyone so that others can experience the quality of Chambers.
